Encouragement from a Mother

image Vanessa lived in New York and was a housewife. Three years ago, she had an abdominal delivery and gave birth to a baby girl. We used to go to the same college and established a strong bond.

Since I was single I almost spent all the thanksgivings with her family besides those with my parents. She had this great bag collection.

Last week she invited me to have dinner with her at her house to celebrate a small occasion. I was wondering what kind of gift was appropriate for the baby since she was already two years old. I spent a whole day on the shopping moll and got nothing.

This gift selecting thing made me really frustrate and I decided to give something extraordinary. That was the only to prevent the gift being submerged by other gifts. So I figured why not give her something mature, she could use them when she grew up. So, a Gucci skirt and a pair of sunglasses were what I got after selecting for another day.

The baby was adorable. The outfit on her got my breath away. She just looked one of these models on the run way only she was smaller and cutter. Vanessa was dame good! She sensed my surprise and explained everything to me.

“Is not she looking gorgeous?”

“Yes, she is beautiful.”

“You are a cool mother, you know that.”

“I think developing the taste of her when she is young helps her to get a sense of fashion.”

“Does she like this?”

“You know it’s a fun thing to do, I mean to get her dressed, I bought the same style of clothes in different colors and asked her to pick, and she always got the prettier one. “

“Wow, there is a fashion elf in this house.”

“Some people say what I am doing is not good for her development but I don’t think so; I mean girls are entitled to these beautiful dresses, what’s wrong with making yourself look nicer. Besides, she has got a talent on fashion, I am so proud of her.”

Later the gift opening session found everybody in the house excited and thrilled. On one hand we were happy for Vanessa, she was very nice to every one; on the other hand the baby girl was healthy growing. I burst out into laughter when Vanessa put the sunglasses on her daughter, she looked fantastic, I admitted.
