Question one: does it damage the eye vision if we watch TV within a short distance and in a dim environment?
When we watch TV or read a book at a place with dim light, our eyes will become dry after a period. Therefore, for near reading, the light is bright enough, but it shouldn’t be too bright. Try to avoid the direct glaring light coming into the eyes and maintain soft brightness. Besides, we should move away the eyes from the screen or the book every 10 minutes and spend another 10 minutes in looking into the distance.
Question two: will sleep deal with eye tiredness?
As a matter of fact, sleep could not totally solve the problem of eye tiredness. We should try to stare the object in the distance or look up. Move the eyeballs around to reduce the tiredness. Some of people believe that to look into the distance could moderate the eye fatigue. The key is not about how far we should look into, but that we should reduce the time span of looking at the near place.
Question three: people who have myopia will not get farsightedness, so it doesn’t matter if we get myopia when we are young. Is it right?
When we get old, whether we have myopia or not, we could not avoid farsightedness. However, people who have myopia will equal some part of farsightedness when they look at the near place.
Question four: strength under 3 diopters belongs to pseudo myopia, so there is no need to correct it. Is it right?
Pseudo myopia is the symptom that the eyeballs have been used excessively and couldn’t get relax. However, it will recover if certain rest is guaranteed. The genuine myopia will cause the extension of eye axes. True myopia with strength below 3 diopters should be corrected. If not so, the eye vision will become worse.
Question five: will eyeglasses and contact lenses make eye vision worse and worse?
Some of people insist on not to wear eyeglasses for they hold the view that they will take off the eyeglasses on more when they put on, and the eye vision will get worse. In fact, this is totally wrong. Generally speaking, the eyeglasses or contact lenses with right strength according the optician’s accurate check-up will help to avoid the worsening condition of eyes.
Question six: is it easy to cause children’s myopia if parents turn on the light for a whole night?
Experts believe that a small light left for children will aid to train their eyes’ adjustable ability.
Question seven: the more vitamin A is, the better the eye vision is, is it?
Suitable amount of vitamin A could separate us from eye tiredness, but over a certain amount will bring harm.
